Ok. You launched a website and decided to put some AdSense ads on it. Great idea, that means you got exquisite website thats bound to bring you a lot of money(never hurts to dream).
Where you place those ads is your decision, google has a sort of a heatmap that shows where ads are going to be doing the best.
Now here are some tips of what NOT to do with adsense account and ads.
1. No fake credentials when opening AdSense account- It means that if your name is John Smith, put in John Smith, don't use "yudo nothavetaknow" or something that isn't your name. Also use your real address. It not only will get you in trouble with google, but also IRS(or your local tax authority. If you don't have to pay taxes on this kinda thing, you are a lucky person). Treat AdSense as you would treat any other job out there.
2. Dont be a hacker or cracker - Google lets you change few parameters of their adsense code, you can only change those. Google isn't your typical "I am a leet hacker" website. You mess them up, you might as well as become a homeless bum. They have money, lawyers, and programmers that can track you down and beat the hacker out of you.
3. Don't click the ads on your own site - Unless you want your account banned. Trust me, thats a big no-no for Google. If you want to make money out of AdSense, then create interesting website with interesting content. Make the ads blend in with your site(but make sure people know the ads are from Google and that they are ads and not part of your content).
4. Don't ask people to click your ads - Same as above. If you want to beg, then dress in rags and go to New York or some other big city. You will get more money that way, and you won't be chased out of the city.
5. Don't use auto content generators - Sure Google lets this one slide for now, but you never know when they will put a lid on it. If you are out of ideas, ask a freelance writer to write articles for you. Another thing you can do is buy PLR articles(I might make a post on these in the future).
6. Don't make a page without content - Example of this is a page that has only ads. It not only looks gross, but also might get you in trouble with Google.
7. Don't use misleading labeling - Meaning if the ads are ads, label them as ads. You do not want to confuse people, as it will drive the potential customers away.
8. Do not put AdSense on the registration, thank you, or confirmation pages - Lets just say that you do not want to show people more ads after they decided to go with what you have to offer.
Well, I am sure there many other tips on AdSense, but that is all for today's post. I hope it was informative to you. And as always, my quest to make money online continues.
